The threads are not simple, the threads are golden

We are used to the fact that in the modern and high-tech world, even the impossible is possible. And although we have not yet learned how to synthesize the elixir of eternal youth, but something that can return perfectly even contours to our face already exists. Thin and invisible, threads for lifting are designed to save the situation when injection procedures are already ineffective, and for a full plastic surgery there are no indications yet.

Thread lifting is a method that does not require too many victims. Moreover, he fulfills the most important desire of the patient – an instant effect. This method of facelift has gained great popularity among both women and men. And there really are reasons for that. Being at the junction of plastic surgery and cosmetology, implantation of threads combines very important advantages: efficiency and safety, almost instant result and its predictability. This method is also suitable for those who cannot afford too long a rehabilitation period.

What are these unusual saving threads made of and how they work – questions that the patient must have a clear and understandable answer before making a final decision on the procedure.

The threads are not simple, the threads are golden

The threads can be of several types: polypropylene, polylactic and gold. Polypropylene material has been used in surgery for a long time. The accumulated experience shows that these synthetic threads do not cause allergies, are not rejected by the body and fully perform their tasks. Although, they have one drawback – they do not dissolve and remain in the human body forever.

Polylactic filaments, in contrast to those mentioned above, completely dissolve on average after six months. Lactic acid, which is part of these threads, stimulates the revitalization of the skin and soft tissues, promotes rejuvenation and slows down the aging process.

The gold thread is made of gold of the highest standard and is 0.1 mm thick. It is known that this metal is inert, that is, it does not interact with most acids and does not form oxides, so gold threads can be in the human body for a long time without consequences and undesirable reactions. Around the gold framework, the formation of new collagen and elastin fibers, as well as blood vessels of the microvasculature. As a result, skin nutrition improves, its firmness and elasticity increase, wrinkles are smoothed out.

Although the choice of material remains with the patient, there are still some recommendations for selection. So, under the age of 40, doctors advise the use of absorbable sutures, and from 40 to 50, procedures using non-absorbable materials are recommended.

Methods for conducting thread braces are quite simple and can be used not only by plastic surgeons, but also by cosmetologists in ordinary treatment rooms. The threads are implanted through pinholes in the soft tissues and create a kind of framework that will support the problem area.

Reinforcement with threads is carried out at a depth of not more than 3-5 mm in order to guarantee the possibility of injury to nerve endings and large vessels. This is especially important if facial tissue correction is performed: the delicacy of the method allows a person to retain natural facial expressions. The threads themselves are made in a special way: during the production process, small notches are applied to the threads. They do not allow the skin to slip. It turns out that the skin is pulled together on the threads and remains in this position, and the threads do not move to neighboring areas.

The duration of the thread lifting procedure is surprisingly short. So, lifting individual areas takes no more than 15 minutes, and lifting the entire face lasts an average of half an hour. As already mentioned, the first improvements become noticeable already on the day the threads are installed, and after 2-3 weeks the result is fully manifested, since during this time a frame of young connective tissue is formed around the threads and the face oval is strengthened.

The effect of thread lifting lasts on average from two to five years, but its duration depends on a number of reasons: the patient’s age, lifestyle and quality of life, skin type, care and much more.

The possibilities of thread lifting allow you to solve a variety of aesthetic problems. Moreover, due to minimal trauma and the absence of incisions, rehabilitation time is not required. Only in some patients, due to individual characteristics, small hematomas can appear.

Despite the fact that thread lifting cannot be clearly attributed to surgery, it, like any other medical manipulation, has contraindications. Along with pregnancy, lactation and cancer, tightening with threads from any material does not allow the presence of acute infectious diseases and inflammatory processes in the places of installation of threads. Blood clotting is also an absolute contraindication to the lifting procedure.
